Bunka Valley Clinic   Location: Japan

Bunka Valley Clinic is a small wooden clinic hidden in a dense thicket on the side of a road in rural Japan.
It was built in 1918 to serve the local farming community – it consisted of a pharmacy, waiting room, operating room and several other rooms that were likely wards. The clinic operated for just over half a century, eventually closing in the 1970s. Since then the surrounding trees and shrubs have slowly started to encroach on the property, giving it a new lease of (wild) life.
