Back in 2016 I had the opportunity to work with Cuts & Bruises, a barber shop that had just opened its doors in Stoke Newington, East London. I worked closely with the owner of the shop Kem in creating a series of images that he then went to use for various promotional purposes. You can see those images here.
During a recent trip back to London I met up with Kem and we decided to get some new updated portraits done of his team. There are seven members of staff in total, all of whom I photographed as individuals and as a group.
Once we were done with the portraits I moved downstairs to get a few snaps of Kem and his resident tattoo artist Biko in the tattoo studio beneath the barbers floor. All of the images you see on this page will be used to promote both the barber shop and the tattoo parlour.
