Minami Oyubari Station Location: Japan
Minami Oyubari Station was built in 1906 to serve a coal mining community in rural Japan. When the coal mines started to close in the 1980s, the community dispersed and the station was no longer needed, it finally closed in 1989. All that’s left of the disused station now is a lone platform, a single sign and one Mitsubishi locomotive train. The inside of the carriage is an excellent example of how Japanese train design was in the 1970s.
